This position is ideal for an experienced accounts payable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing high-volume invoice processing, vendor relations, and payment activities. The AP Specialist will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting function.Key Responsibilities – Accounts Payable SpecialistProcess and code invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies.Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.Maintain vendor records, including tax documentation and payment details.Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments, invoices, and account status.Assist with month-end closing activities and accounts payable reporting.Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.Support audits by providing requested documentation and account information.Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues.Qualifications – Accounts Payable SpecialistMinimum of 3 years of recent accounts payable experience required.Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.Experience with ERP systems and accounting software preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and customer service skills.High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.Experience in high-volume invoice processing preferred.Ability to work fully onsite in Nashville, TN, Monday through Friday.
