Staff Accountant

We are seeking a full‑time Staff Accountant located in Winona, MN. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensures that financial statements are completed and reported in an accurate and timely manner. Completes account and bank reconciliations in a timely manner and provides results to the Accounting Manager. Prepares and posts monthly journal entries in support of the month‑end close process. Understands and maintains the corporate chart of accounts. Completes assigned reporting to distribute and work with appropriate individuals to review. Maintains, tracks, depreciates, and reports the fixed asset system, including disposals and capitalization alignment. Provides training and guidance for customer service and other accounting staff as deemed necessary by the Accounting Manager. Assists with preparations for the budget process. Assists Cost Accounting with cost accounting processes and works in a backup capacity. Assists and provides other departments with information, details, and account distributions to aid in the performance of their duties. Enforces the corporate purchasing policy. Manages and coordinates data and spreadsheets or work papers as required for annual audit. Our ideal candidate will have at minimum: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Minimum 2+ years of experience working with general functions, month‑end and year‑end close process, financial statements, and general accounting procedures. Demonstrate intermediate (or higher) Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) preferred.
