Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Technician for a contract opportunity supporting technology operations in a government and public sector environment in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is ideal for a hands-on desktop support or help desk professional who enjoys solving technical issues, working with end users, and providing reliable onsite support across multiple locations.

The IT Technician will work from the main office and travel to additional sites throughout Palm Beach County as needed to assist with technical support requests. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable field support experience in a stable, service-focused environment with supportive leadership, collaborative teams, and exposure to a variety of desktop, hardware, software, and user support needs.

The right candidate will be dependable, customer-focused, flexible with scheduling, and comfortable working in both office and field settings.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide onsite desktop support, help desk support, and field technical assistance to end users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Travel to various locations throughout Palm Beach County to resolve technical support needs.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support computers, laptops, and related IT equipment.
- Document support activities, issue resolutions, and equipment updates as needed.
- Deliver professional, timely, and customer-focused technical service to internal users.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $20.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary until end of November.
- Location: West Palm Beach, FL, with travel to other sites throughout Palm Beach County as needed.
- Schedule: Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends as required.
