As an Experience Design (XD) Design Engineering Intern, you'll work at the intersection of design and technology, helping bring digital experiences to life through thoughtful, user-centered engineering solutions. You'll collaborate with designers, researchers, and developers to create intuitive, engaging experiences that solve real business and customer challenges. Our internship program combines hands‑on project experience, technical learning, professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities designed to accelerate your growth. After onboarding and training, you'll join a project team and contribute to real client work while gaining exposure to modern design engineering practices, emerging technologies, and a variety of industries. What You'll Do Depending on your client engagement and project, your responsibilities may include: Collaborating with designers, researchers, strategists, and engineers to bring digital experiences to life Building responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web experiences Working through project lifecycles from discovery and ideation through delivery Developing front-end solutions using modern web technologies and frameworks Applying web accessibility standards and development best practices Participating in stakeholder discussions, workshops, and project meetings Supporting prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement of digital products Learning from subject matter experts and incorporating feedback into your work Contributing to client-facing presentations, demonstrations, and deliverables Exploring emerging technologies, including AI-enabled user experiences and digital products What Makes This Role Unique XD Design Engineering consultants sit at the intersection of user experience, design, and technology. Interns have the opportunity to combine technical skills with creativity to build digital experiences that are both functional and engaging. Projects may include work related to: Design systems and reusable component libraries User experience implementation and optimization Responsive and accessible digital experiences Modern web frameworks and emerging technologies AI-enabled digital experiences and user interfaces Interactive prototypes and proof-of-concepts Customer-facing products and platforms used by thousands or millions of users This role is ideal for students who enjoy building things, care deeply about the user experience, and want to combine creativity, technology, and problem-solving to create meaningful outcomes.
