Accounting Associate

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join their growing team. This is a fully onsite position responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and collections. Responsibilities Process accounts receivable billing and invoice entry Process accounts payable invoices and payment entries Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Prepare and post journal entries Monitor customer accounts and assist with collections activities Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Assist with month-end closing activities Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues Support additional accounting and administrative projects as needed Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, and Journal Entries ERP system experience required (SAP Business One experience highly preferred) Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Additional Requirements Must be able to work onsite in NJ Preferred commute within 30 minutes of the office Reliable transportation required Ascendo is an equal opportunity employer.
