Job Description:Position SummaryGuggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners (GRREP) is seeking an experienced individual to join their team as a Business Development professional, reporting to COO. The Business Development professional will be responsible for originating and securing relationships with multi-unit retail operators seeking to expand their physical footprint through programmatic development partnerships. This role focuses on identifying growth-oriented retailers and structuring long-term development pipelines for single-tenant net lease assets across the United States.This role is required to report on-site in our Frisco, TX office at least 5 days per week.Essential Job FunctionsClient Origination & Relationship DevelopmentIdentify and target national and regional retail brands with active unit growth strategies (e.g., automotive services, convenience stores, QSR, coffee, and service-based retail)Develop direct relationships with real estate decision-makers (Chief Development Officers, Heads of Real Estate, Franchise Growth Leads)Source and originate new client partnerships focused on multi-site development programs rather than one-off transactionsBuild and manage a pipeline of retailer clients with defined multi-year expansion plansMarket Intelligence & TargetingAnalyze retailer expansion strategies, white space mapping, and geographic growth prioritiesProactively identify emerging brands and concepts poised for rapid expansionMaintain deep knowledge of trends across net lease retail sectors including automotive, convenience, QSR, and experiential/service retailPartnership Structuring & ExecutionCollaborate with internal real estate acquisition and development teams to align on client opportunitiesHelp structure development partnerships that meet retailer operational needs and GRREP’s investment criteriaSupport negotiation of development pipelines, site selection strategies, and long-term rollout plansClient Management & GrowthServe as a primary relationship manager for retailer clients throughout the lifecycle of the partnershipEnsure consistent delivery and execution across development programs to support client expansion goalsIdentify opportunities to expand existing client relationships into additional markets or formatsBrand Representation & Industry PresenceRepresent the firm at industry conferences, ICSC events, and retail real estate forumsPosition GRREP as a preferred development partner for growth-oriented retailersBuild and maintain a strong network across brokers, tenant rep firms, and retail real estate teamsMarketing, Branding & Materials ManagementMaintain and regularly update the firm’s website to ensure accurate, current, and compelling representation of active projects, client relationships, and development capabilitiesEnsure all marketing materials are consistent with firm branding, messaging, and strategic positioning as a programmatic retail development partnerCustomize presentations and collateral for targeted retailer outreach and specific growth programsCoordinate logistics and materials preparation for industry conferences (e.g., ICSC), including booth content, signage, and client-facing materialsContinuously evaluate and improve marketing content to better articulate the firm’s value proposition and differentiate from competitorsPreferred QualificationsExisting relationships with retailer real estate teams and/or tenant rep brokersExcellent communication and organizational skillsResponsive to client needsStrong attention to detailHighly proactive, relationship-driven, and entrepreneurial mindsetCollaborative team player, motivated by the open exchange of ideas within a team environmentDemonstrated track record of originating deals or client relationships (not just executing)Basic QualificationsCompletion of a bachelor’s degreeMinimum of 5 years of experience in retail real estate, tenant representation, net lease development, or related business development rolesProficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPointAble to travel for client meetings, trade shows and industry conferencesSalaryBase salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.About Guggenheim Retail Real Estate PartnersGuggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners (“GRREP”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Guggenheim Partners LLC, a global investment and advisory firm with more than $295 billion in assets under management and a track record of delivering results through innovative solutions.
