Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current state teaching certification in Special Education (or willingness to obtain)
• Prior experience teaching in a self-contained classroom highly preferred
• Knowledge of best practices in special education and individualized instruction
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to write and implement IEPs tailored to each student
• Dedication to nurturing every learner’s academic and personal growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to coordinate student services
• Create and maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Assess students’ academic, social, and behavioral needs regularly
• Document progress and adjust strategies as needed to support individual student success
