Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Treasury & CIO

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience and at least 2 years leading technologists on complex technical work.
• Experience leading multiple teams and coaching them toward goals aligned with strategic initiatives and regulatory timelines.
• Experience guiding multiple teams in adopting enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools, including setting governance practices, human review and quality gates, measuring outcomes, and securely handling sensitive information.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, security, resilience, and control requirements, with the ability to advise managers, technical leads, and other leaders on safe adoption.
• Track record of hiring, developing, and recognizing engineering talent, with strong mentoring and people leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of finance and accounting concepts related to internal funding and Net Interest Income, such as accruals, funds transfer pricing and base rate curves, interest calculations, and ledger alignment.
• Practical cloud-native experience with AWS compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Proficiency with Databricks and Spark for large-scale data processing; strong Python and Java coding skills; and familiarity with data pipelines and controls.
• Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, with expertise in core technology disciplines such as APIs, data, and platform engineering.
• Preferred: Senior-level experience producing high-quality code and designs, setting standards, reviewing designs, and directing technical strategy.
• Preferred: Background in AI/ML enablement for operational efficiency, quality controls, and anomaly detection in finance data.
• Preferred: Familiarity with finance technology operating models, controls, and audit or regulatory expectations, including coordination with Finance and Risk stakeholders.
• Preferred: Success driving platform modernization, such as cloud migration and data platform evolution, while addressing operational inefficiencies and scaling engineering practices.

• Lead, direct, and coach teams of entry- to mid-level software engineers delivering solutions for internal funding, Net Interest Income, and related accounting and finance use cases.
• Oversee decisions affecting team resources, budgets, day-to-day operations, and processes across multiple pipelines and services.
• Establish and scale operating practices for approved AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation across teams, setting measurable targets for delivery, quality, and operational outcomes while ensuring validation, security, resilience, and reuse of proven patterns.
• Use software development lifecycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve efficiency and support capacity initiatives, prioritizing existing company technology assets.
• Coordinate with Finance, Risk, Treasury, SRE, and Data Platform stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, well-controlled solutions.
• Identify and mitigate delivery issues, proactively escalate risks, and drive remediation plans.
• Direct platform strategy and modernization with a cloud-first, data-first approach, including AI enablement for efficiency, anomaly detection, and control automation.
• Promote engineering practices for big data processing with Databricks and Spark, Java and Python microservices, API design, CI/CD, observability, and resilience.
• Oversee clear financial explanations and controls, including data lineage, reconciliations, and validations that meet accounting and reporting standards.
