Summary

Supervises daily staff activities for Patient Financial Services personnel and functions.

Responsibilities

Performs staff responsibilities as needed to meet departmental goals. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints. This role also may assist with oversight of the day to day operations of the Telecommunications Department. Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments according to the department's needs & volume fluctuations. Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, hiring and mentoring of staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Two (2) years experience in a healthcare setting with some progressive lead responsibilities. Other Information: Responsible for taking calls after hours and weekends for any issues that may arise as well as staff call outs.
