Job Purpose: The Sales Engineer I plays a critical role in driving high-impact sales outcomes by owning key deliverables and helping move opportunities forward. In this role, you’ll foster clear, strategic communication across internal teams to ensure alignment and momentum throughout the sales process. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, educating internal stakeholders, resellers, and distribution partners to strengthen and scale the broader sales ecosystem. This is an opportunity for someone who is eager to grow—continuously building technical and sales expertise while staying sharp in an ever-evolving market. What You'll Do: Provide presentation of company solutions (MDR bundle: Endpoint, Encryption, MFA, ECOS, LiveSense, EDR, MDR). Conduct 'proof of value' and 'proof of concepts' assessments for customers. Assist in deeper qualification of customer requirements and contribute to opportunity responses in the CRM. Provide active signposting and contribute to technical success of a customer's life-cycle. Record and track activity with customer via CRM and provide technical feedback. Complement resources provided by Enablement teams and assist Sales teams with enablement of the channel beyond basic demonstrations in person or remotely. Keep up to date with industry knowledge and news from a technical perspective. Develop and maintain testing programs/demonstration environments for company solutions. Plan and coordinate the work of colleagues in accordance with superior's instructions, be responsible for the performance of the tasks entrusted to it in accordance with established procedures and processes and prioritize tasks of colleagues in order to meet established objectives and achieve required results. Perform conceptual, systemic, creative and methodical activities. Carry out other work according to the instructions of a managing employee in accordance with the activity of the department and the company. Please note this position is open to candidates across the US. For those based in San Diego, the role will be hybrid; for all other locations, it will be fully remote. What you’ll have: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent hands‑on experience) 1–3 years of experience in a technical, customer‑facing, or pre‑sales role (internships count) Foundational understanding of SaaS, cloud technologies, or enterprise software environments Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value Comfortable presenting, demoing, and engaging with both technical and non‑technical audiences Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed Technical & Business Skills: Basic knowledge of APIs, integrations, or system architecture Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or similar platforms Ability to support product demos, POCs, and technical evaluations Strong problem‑solving skills and a curiosity to dig into customer challenges What we offer: 401(k) matching Wellness and WFH Stipends Employee Assistance Program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Volunteer Time off opportunities Vision insurance Remote Working environments ESET is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected range for this position is $105k-$132k OTE.
