The Research Assistant I is responsible for collecting, evaluating, and interpreting research data to support principal investigators and other research team members. This position maintains accurate research records, updates laboratory notebooks, and performs data entry into research databases as needed.

The role may involve working directly with research participants, including coordinating participant and laboratory schedules and assisting with participant testing when required. The Research Assistant I also helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and work environment, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.

Additional responsibilities include ordering laboratory and research supplies as directed by senior research staff, supporting project activities, and coordinating the work of others as needed. The successful candidate will stay current with Institutional Review Board ( IRB ) requirements and other applicable regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance with research standards.

This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent on funding availability and satisfactory performance.
