Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to diagnose various mental health disorders, ensuring accurate understanding of each patient's unique condition.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, using evidence-based practices to meet the specific needs of each student.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications and actively manage treatment regimens, monitoring their effects while being responsive to necessary adjustments.
• Deliver psychotherapy services grounded in therapeutic methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate effectively with a range of mental health professionals to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive, well-rounded care.
• Provide education to patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies that empower them in their recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, noting treatment outcomes, medication responses, and symptom changes to guide ongoing care decisions.
• Conduct routine follow-up appointments, assessing treatment effectiveness and addressing any evolving concerns or adjustments needed in therapy.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical supervision sessions to share insights, promote continuous improvement, and enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing, with an active Nurse Practitioner license in Florida.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 200,000 to USD 250,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
