Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Developing customized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, closely monitoring their effects and making necessary adjustments to optimize patient care.
• Administering psychotherapy and counseling using various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Collaborating with a diverse team of mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Providing education to patients and their families, enhancing understanding of mental health conditions and treatment strategies.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously, including therapy effectiveness and medication responses.
• Holding regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment outcomes and adjust care as needed.
• Participating in team meetings and clinical supervision, contributing to shared knowledge and quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• A current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Demonstrated clinical experience within psychiatric and mental health settings.
• Strong proficiency in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
