Lead iOS Software Engineer - Columbus

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We bring 5+ years of combined software/application development experience, including mobile development.
• We have 3+ years of experience leading technology efforts and mentoring diverse engineering teams building native iOS applications.
• We have a strong background in iOS development using Swift, with familiarity with Objective-C in mixed codebases.
• We are proficient in iOS frameworks and UI development, including UIKit and/or SwiftUI, Auto Layout, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• We understand architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, VIPER/Clean Architecture, and navigation patterns like Coordinator.
• We have experience with modern iOS development tools and systems, including Xcode, Swift Package Manager, and CocoaPods where applicable.
• We understand iOS concurrency and reactive patterns such as async/await, GCD, and optionally Combine.
• We have experience with local persistence and device capabilities such as Core Data, Keychain, background tasks, and push notifications.
• We have demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We understand responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• Preferred: we have exposure to Agentic AI or GenAI.
• Preferred: we have experience with XCTest or XCUITest, test doubles or mocking approaches, and snapshot testing.
• Preferred: we are proficient with Instruments for performance and crash analysis.
• Preferred: we have experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Preferred: we are familiar with accessibility best practices and VoiceOver testing.

• We design, build, and troubleshoot creative software solutions, thinking beyond routine approaches to solve technical problems.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We identify opportunities to automate or eliminate recurring remediation work to improve application and system stability.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We apply knowledge of SDLC tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical strengths, and fit within existing systems and information architecture.
• We lead communities of practice across software engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.
• We partner with product, design, and backend teams to turn requirements into reliable iOS experiences focused on performance, accessibility, localization, and resiliency.
