Registered Nurse (RN) - Staffing Pool

Job Description
The RN Staffing Pool provides flexible nursing coverage across all inpatient units and supports patients being held in the Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a flexible team player who is comfortable caring for patients with different needs and working varied shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop and update care plans, and provide safe, competent nursing care.
- Provide patient education and support discharge planning and family advocacy.
- Perform point-of-care testing and follow hospital policies and clinical standards.
- Support care for complex patients and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Utilize skills including telemetry monitoring, IV/PICC line care, IV insertion, tube care, and port care .
- Prioritize assignments and adapt to changing patient and unit needs.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina RN license
- BLS certification required
- 1 year of nursing experience
- ADN, ASN, or Nursing Diploma required
- BSN/MSN preferred
- CPI-A and NIHSS required
- ACLS preferred
- Must be flexible with variable day/night assignments
