Registered Nurse (RN) - Staffing Pool

Job Description

The RN Staffing Pool provides flexible nursing coverage across all inpatient units and supports patients being held in the Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a flexible team player who is comfortable caring for patients with different needs and working varied shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop and update care plans, and provide safe, competent nursing care.
• Provide patient education and support discharge planning and family advocacy.
• Perform point-of-care testing and follow hospital policies and clinical standards.
• Support care for complex patients and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Utilize skills including telemetry monitoring, IV/PICC line care, IV insertion, tube care, and port care .
• Prioritize assignments and adapt to changing patient and unit needs.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina RN license
• BLS certification required
• 1 year of nursing experience
• ADN, ASN, or Nursing Diploma required
• BSN/MSN preferred
• CPI-A and NIHSS required
• ACLS preferred
• Must be flexible with variable day/night assignments
