Registered Nurse (RN) - Staffing Pool

Job Description

The RN Staffing Pool provides flexible nursing coverage across all inpatient units and supports patients being held in the Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a flexible team player who is comfortable caring for patients with different needs and working varied shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patients, develop and update care plans, and provide safe, competent nursing care.
Provide patient education and support discharge planning and family advocacy.
Perform point-of-care testing and follow hospital policies and clinical standards.
Support care for complex patients and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
Utilize skills including telemetry monitoring, IV/PICC line care, IV insertion, tube care, and port care .
Prioritize assignments and adapt to changing patient and unit needs.

Requirements

Active North Carolina RN license
BLS certification required
1 year of nursing experience
ADN, ASN, or Nursing Diploma required
BSN/MSN preferred
CPI-A and NIHSS required
ACLS preferred
Must be flexible with variable day/night assignments
