Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within the clinic and enhancing patient experiences.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
• Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
• Maintain patient records accurately using electronic health record systems such as Icanotes
• Process medical billing and coding for insurance claims, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Collect patient information and verify insurance details prior to appointments.
• Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.

Skills

• Proficiency in medical office procedures and familiarity with coding practices.
• Experience with clinic management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Strong typing skills for accurate data entry and documentation.
• Knowledge of medical billing processes to assist in claims management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone demeanor.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining confidentiality.
