About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Telemetry experience required - Skills in IV start - Experience in managing cardiac telemetry Description: This position is part of a float pool in a progressive care unit. Candidates with 1-2 years of experience may be considered, but automatic offers will not be extended. Profiles will be reviewed by the manager before offers are made. Candidates may be required to float to different units within the organization as needed. No commute is necessary, with alternate locations within walking distance. Patient ratios are estimated to be 1:3-4 depending on the unit. Candidates must be skilled in starting IVs and managing telemonitoring for cardiac patients. Comprehensive experience in arterial line management, non-invasive airway management, and the interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential. Knowledge of blood product administration, chest tube care, and wound care is required. The role involves administering procedural sedation and managing complex patient needs in a step-down or intermediate care setting. Professional references from managers or supervisors will be required to validate previous experience and capability. Candidates must have completed education from an accredited nursing program.
