Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

Receives request or instructions for procedures

Interprets requests or instructions for medical or health care personnel

Supports health and medical staff during diagnosis and treatment of patients

Secures patients confidence and cooperation during procedures

Explains procedures, positions patients for desired results and cushions and shields patients as appropriate

Independently explains procedures and positions patients for a variety of difficult invasive procedures

Operates and maintains medical instruments and equipment in support of diagnostic and treatment procedures

Determines technical factors, sets controls and operates equipment and instruments

Sets up and adjust specialized equipment such as, Golvo patient lift, Stirrups for female vaginal exams, lead placement for 12 lead EKG, etc. with multiple features that requires precise patient positioning to operate correctly

Sets equipment parameters based on the patient's established diagnosis or specific and/or individualized testing criteria

Assists during procedures by monitoring the patient's condition and monitoring and recording reactions

Assists medical staff with patient care; assists with ADL's (activities of daily living), i.e., feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting

Work Schedule: Six (6) 12-hour shifts from 0400-1630 for 6 days, and One (1) 8-hour shift from 0400-1230 for 1 day; 80 hours per pay period.
