Director, Business Development & Strategy

Responsibilities Lead the company’s annual and long-range strategic planning process, partnering with executive leadership to establish enterprise priorities, align cross-functional objectives, and translate strategic goals into actionable plans that drive execution and sustainable growth. Identify, evaluate, and execute growth opportunities that expand Endologix’s leadership in abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and peripheral vascular disease, including partnerships, licensing, and acquisitions in minimally invasive, endovascular technologies that meaningfully improve patient outcomes. Shape and evolve corporate and commercial strategy by translating physician insights, market dynamics, and emerging clinical needs into clear, actionable plans that drive sustainable growth. Partner closely with vascular surgeons, interventionalists, and key opinion leaders to uncover unmet needs, ensuring strategic decisions are grounded in real-world clinical practice and patient impact. Lead rigorous market assessments, competitive intelligence, and financial modeling, balancing data‑driven discipline with thoughtful judgment to inform high‑quality decision‑making. Drive end‑to‑end due diligence with a strong emphasis on transparency, accountability, and cross‑functional collaboration across legal, clinical, regulatory, and finance teams. Develop business cases that integrate clinical outcomes data, reimbursement considerations, and adoption pathways, ensuring opportunities are both commercially viable and clinically meaningful. Collaborate with product management, R&D, and commercial teams to advance differentiated solutions, supporting portfolio expansion, lifecycle optimization, and global market development. Support executive leadership with long‑range planning, strategic initiatives, and board‑level communications that clearly articulate opportunities, risks, and value creation pathways. Stay ahead of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive shifts within vascular and endovascular therapies, bringing forward bold ideas and informed perspectives. Champion cross‑functional initiatives that strengthen alignment, enhance commercial execution, and accelerate the adoption of innovative therapies in the field. Navigate ambiguity with confidence, take smart, calculated risks, and drive initiatives forward with ownership, adaptability, and a focus on delivering lasting impact. Take on additional responsibilities as needed, approaching each with integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to advancing meaningful outcomes for patients, customers, and the organization. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience: 8–12+ years of experience in business development, strategy, consulting, or corporate development, preferably within medical devices or healthcare. Proven track record of executing strategic transactions (e.g., partnerships, licensing, M&A). Experience working in vascular, cardiovascular, or interventional medical device space strongly preferred. Experience interacting with senior leadership and contributing to high‑level strategic planning. Skills/Competencies: Strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex market, clinical, and business insights into clear priorities and actionable plans. Strong business and financial acumen, including expertise in valuation, deal structuring, and assessing opportunities through both commercial and clinical lenses. Advanced analytical capabilities, with the ability to synthesize diverse inputs—clinical data, physician feedback, market dynamics—into well‑informed recommendations. Executive presence with exceptional communication and storytelling skills, able to clearly convey complex ideas to senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders. Influential leadership style with the ability to build alignment, foster trust, and drive decisions across cross‑functional teams without direct authority. Strong relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage credibly with physicians, key opinion leaders, and industry partners. Sound judgment and decision‑making skills, with the ability to balance thoughtful risk‑taking and disciplined evaluation in high‑stakes situations. Intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset, with a drive to continuously learn, challenge assumptions, and explore new possibilities in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. Collaborative and team‑oriented approach, with a focus on shared success, open communication, and cross‑functional partnership. High level of ownership, accountability, and follow‑through, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
