Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs and concerns of your clients.

• Actively communicating with various stakeholders—including supervisors, direct care staff, family members, and other involved parties—regarding patient progress and treatment updates.

• Drafting and submitting a weekly schedule of appointments, home visits, and necessary observations to aid in tracking work progress effectively.

• Coordinating home visits and in-home assessments to gain insights into clients’ environments and challenges.

• Ensuring the effective implementation and management of individualized care plans.
\n
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and contribute to program development initiatives.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including monthly and quarterly progress notes, to ensure ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes.

• Facilitating training programs for staff to ensure comprehensive understanding and adherence to treatment protocols and documentation procedures.

• Providing follow-up services through interviews, home visits, and periodic assessments to continue supporting the evolving needs of patients.

• Acting as a liaison within the mental health community, promoting resources that facilitate individual growth and development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a counselor will encompass a diverse clientele, including both adults and youth, addressing various mental health concerns, including trauma, familial issues, couples therapy, and substance use disorders. You will have the opportunity to create personalized treatment plans that consider each client's unique background and circumstances, thereby fostering long-term improvement in their psychological well-being.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for the LPC position will hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Additionally, you must possess an active and unrestricted professional counseling license in the state of Texas. A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical counseling setting is essential to effectively navigate the demands of this role.
