ABOUT THE ROLE:


We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Assistant Project Manager to join a well-established organization in the Anchorage area. This role offers hands-on training alongside a lead Project Manager, making it an excellent entry point for someone looking to grow in project coordination and materials management within the construction market.


Working at the intersection of sales, logistics, and customer service, this position plays a key role in ensuring accurate ordering, timely delivery, and clear communication across all project stakeholders.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Train closely with the lead Project Manager to learn all aspects of project coordination and materials management
• Coordinate the ordering of project materials from vendors and manage delivery to the warehouse and final shipment to jobsites
• Maintain and update shipping schedules, keeping customers informed on a daily and weekly basis
• Coordinate deliveries between the warehouse and customer locations
• Work through submittal reviews and track shipments from order through delivery
• Serve as a conduit of information between factories, agents, and customers
• Work closely with the outside sales team to strengthen and support customer relationships
• Accurately bill for materials shipped
• Collaborate with industry partners to identify and resolve project issues
• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team
• Punctual and dependable with a proactive approach to problem solving
