divh2Payroll Specialist/h2pTitle: Payroll Specialist/ppLocation: Woodcliff Lake, NJ/ppDuration: 6 12 months/ppJob Description/pp Performs daily activities for 5 bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls to ensure accurate and timely compensation to employees for work performed./pp Performs a variety of statistical tasks and clerical duties required to prepare payroll data for computer input. Reviews timekeeping records./pp Processes exception items requiring special handling. Responds to inquiries from employees regarding deductions, calculations, and changes in compensation./pp Prepares, compiles and maintains various statistical and payroll records. May perform analyses and reviews of data, develop reports for supervision review./ppEssential Functions/pp Performs payroll activities for bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing./pp Reviews timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness./pp Process special payroll exceptions as needed./pp W-2 processing knowledge desirable/pp Prepare payroll journal entries for posting to the general ledger./pp Maintain master control file./pp Knowledge of ADP and Peoplesoft/ppQualifications/ppBachelors plus/ppAdditional Information/ppAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines./p/div
