Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience required

License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH

Must-Have: Must have EPIC experience. Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. Experience with stable chronic ventilators. Must be available to work at minimum every other holiday. Comfortable floating to other units based on skill set and census.

Description: Winter jobs - a 13-week contract is available. Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but they can be up to 1:5-6. 36 or 48 hours per week available. For a 48-hour contract, overtime is paid out after 48 hours. Nurses will be fitted for N95 before working unless PAPR is offered or needed. Candidate must have experience floating and some level 1 or 2 preferred. Travel experience is preferred. Traveler will float at the agency's discretion. Traveler must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The organization reserves the right to cancel two shifts due to low census as per the contract. RTO must be requested with initial submission; no RTO will be added after the offer. Candidates are required to have experience in telemetry, managing ports, and patient care for ventilated patients. The unit is fast-paced and physically demanding. Most patients require physical assistance to turn, move, and ambulate. Patients may include those who are trach/vented, quadriplegics, and those with brain injuries and orthopedic injuries. Candidates must demonstrate skills in infection prevention, isolation precautions, and IV management. Daily census is estimated at 32, with 36 beds available for patient care. Multiple interdisciplinary support services are accessible in this unit.
