Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with the added opportunity to interact with clients in our outpatient office setting. Our practice operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours as part of a rotating schedule. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, which will inform the development of appropriate treatment interventions.

• Collaborate directly with clients to create customized treatment plans, focusing on their unique circumstances, therapeutic goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and adjust strategies based on ongoing assessment of client progress.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and explore self-care strategies, enhancing understanding and empowerment throughout the treatment process.

• Regularly monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plans, ensuring the effectiveness of interventions.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure cohesive, integrated care that meets each client's physical and mental health needs.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mood disorder interventions, facilitating continuous improvement in treatment approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records for each client’s sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in strict adherence to legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations and professional development opportunities to refine clinical skills and enhance service delivery within the organization.

• Act as an advocate for clients, actively working to reduce stigma surrounding mood disorders while promoting awareness and understanding of mental health issues within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse clientele, particularly focusing on individuals facing mood disorders. You will work with clients grappling with challenges related to their mental health, coming from varying backgrounds and experiences. Understanding the unique needs of each client is essential, as is the ability to provide culturally competent care that respects and acknowledges diversity.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or licensed mental health professional in New York State.

• Two years of post-licensure clinical experience focusing on mood disorders is preferred.
\n
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatments, including CBT and DBT, and a strong understanding of psychopharmacology.

• Proven ability to foster trusting relationships with a wide range of clients.
\n
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective client engagement and collaboration with healthcare colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
