Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand patients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral challenges, leading to the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to address patients’ unique concerns.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, creating a nurturing community space where patients can discuss their experiences and learn from one another.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals in the planning and delivery of holistic care.

• Offer crisis intervention services and immediate support to patients during times of mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and connect them with community resources to aid their recovery.

• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records that comply with legal requirements and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in team meetings to enrich clinical practice and ensure the best outcomes for patients.

• Stay informed on current research, trends, and advancements within mental health therapy to continually enhance therapeutic practices.

At Union Counseling Center, you will work with a varied clientele who seek help for numerous mental health issues. Our patient population comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups, including those dealing with chronic conditions, acute mental health crises, and developmental challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.

• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and effectively design treatment strategies.

• Experience providing individual and group therapy to a diverse array of clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering rapport with patients and colleagues alike.

• Strong ethical framework and sound judgment regarding professional boundaries.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with specific demographics (children, teens, families, etc.) or specialties related to substance abuse, trauma, or chronic mental illness.

• Training in trauma-informed care or integrative models of therapy is a plus.

• Prior involvement in community outreach or mental health advocacy efforts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
