RN - MedSurg/Tele | Location: Macon, GA

Assignment Overview

The RN - MedSurg/Tele role involves providing patient care within a 16-bed unit focusing on patients with conditions such as chest pain, heart failure observation, and COPD exacerbation, among others. Candidates with at least 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience and willingness to travel for the assignment are encouraged to apply.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Teaching Hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center
• Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (on a 6-week schedule)
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2250 (negotiable)
• Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide trach care and chest tube management
• Start and maintain PIVs, manage glucommander and insulin drips
• Administer heparin drips and other drips
• Conduct strong clinical assessments and time management
• Perform cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Plan discharges and educate patients

Qualifications

Required:

• RN License (associate's degree at a minimum)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong skills in trach care, chest tube management, and IV insertion
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and discharge planning
• BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) test completed during onboarding
