Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced MS/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced medical surgical unit. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring cardiac patients, administering medications, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess patients' condition upon admission and throughout their stay.
• Administer and manage cardiac drips, medications, and wound care as prescribed.
• Interpret EKG strips and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Float to other units as required and cover assignments during scheduled shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold current NYS Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Obtain and maintain ACLS certification before start date.
• Have a minimum of 2 years current experience in a telemetry or medical surgical setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with IV skills, reading EKG strips, and wound care.
• Possess NIH Stroke Certification prior to start.
• Willing to work every other weekend and holidays; travel experience preferred.
