Step into an engaging contract position supporting elementary students in a school setting near New York, NY. This full-time opportunity offers 30 hours per week, working with a diverse elementary caseload. Your expertise in school-based physical therapy will play a vital role in empowering young learners to achieve their full potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for New York State
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and goal setting for elementary-aged children
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
- Passion for supporting student development and well-being
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students according to their IEPs
- Conduct thorough assessments and document student progress
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adapting as students’ needs evolve
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical insights
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and caregivers
- Maintain accurate records and uphold all compliance standards
