Key Responsibilities

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and assessments of clients’ functional abilities.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and advanced rehabilitation techniques to address specific orthopedic conditions.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants during treatment sessions, ensuring adherence to established care protocols and effective implementation of patient care plans.
• Conduct evaluations to identify deficits in strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
• Educate clients and their families on physical therapy practices, home exercise programs, and the safe use of assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress, documenting changes in condition and responses to treatment, and communicate findings with the healthcare team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review client care plans and outcomes, making modifications as necessary to optimize patient recovery.
• Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards and regulatory requirements, contributing to accurate patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work primarily with adult and geriatric populations, including post-operative patients, individuals with chronic pain, sports injuries, and conditions requiring rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries. This position requires a deep understanding of orthopedic issues and a compassionate approach to effectively support clients in achieving their recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Florida, with a good standing status.
• CPR certification valid and current.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with a focus on patient and family engagement.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to the principles of integrity, quality, and excellence in patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of clinical experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.
• Expertise in treating various orthopedic conditions and familiarity with additional modalities such as manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise.
• Proficiency in managing clinical documentation systems and adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, based on experience and qualifications.
