Job Overview

We are seeking an relentless, high-energy Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives.

This is a pure hunting role built for a competitive, ambitious sales professional who thrives on outbound prospecting, landing new accounts, and winning market share. You will be responsible for selling our complete portfolio of industrial field services, wastewater treatment, and emergency response solutions to industrial, manufacturing, steel mills and other industrial clients within a 200-mile territory covering Eastern Arkansas and Western Tennessee (Memphis region).

Key Responsibilities

New Business Acquisition (Hunting)

• Drive Aggressive Territory Growth: Proactively prospect, cold-call, and secure new commercial and industrial customers within a 200-mile radius of Memphis and Northeastern Arkansas.

• Execute Outbound Strategy: Identify and penetrate key industrial facilities, steel mills, manufacturing plants across the territory.

• Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the complete sales process from target identification, initial outreach, and facility walk-throughs to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.

Solution Selling & Account Strategy

• Sell the Full Service Portfolio: Educate prospects on our suite of capabilities, including:

• Industrial & Field Services: Hydro excavation, industrial vacuuming, tank cleaning, plant outage maintenance, and used oil collection.

• Wastewater & Waste Management: Industrial wastewater treatment, liquid waste disposal, drop-off, and washout services.

• Emergency Response: 24/7 hazardous and non-hazardous spill cleanup and site remediation.

• Conduct Site Inspections: Walk client facilities alongside plant managers, EHS directors, and maintenance supervisors to audit environmental service needs and build customized scope-of-work proposals.

• Account Management: An existing book of business will be provided. Responsible for managing current clients and identifying opportunities to grow business with existing clients.

• Deliver Winning Proposals: Craft precise, value-driven technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with operations and estimating teams.

Territory & Sales Operations

• Manage Sales Pipeline: Consistently maintain and update a healthy sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting to executive leadership.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with regional operational leaders to ensure seamless hand-off, compliant job execution, and exceptional customer onboarding.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of proven, direct B2B sales experience (hunter role) with a track record of consistently exceeding quota. Experience in industrial services, environmental services, waste management, oil & gas, equipment rental, or industrial supply is strongly preferred.

• Growth Mindset: High-energy, highly competitive, self-motivated, and fiercely focused on achieving revenue targets.

• Prospecting: Demonstrated ability to cold-call, cold-visit, leverage digital outreach, and secure meetings with key decision-makers (Plant Managers, EHS Directors, Operations Managers, Procurement Leads).

• Territory Coverage: Willingness to travel extensively throughout the 200-mile territory ( Company truck provided , with day travel with occasional overnight stays as needed).

• Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to speak with authority whether on an active industrial floor or in a corporate boardroom.

• Regulatory Understanding: Basic familiarity with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state environmental regulations is a plus (or willingness to learn rapidly).

• Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
