Description

• Evaluate individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and anecdotal observations.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Administer focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to design and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to bolster their progress outside the therapy environment.
• Contribute to inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions occasionally, ensuring continuous support during every stage of treatment.
• Keep meticulous and prompt documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay most informed about advancements within the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preference for Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting the position.
