This exciting contract opportunity allows you to make a significant impact as a full-time Special Education Teacher within a supportive and dynamic environment. In this role, you will work onsite in self-contained behavior classrooms, focusing on students with autism and those who require structured, intensive support. Previous experience with students with emotional disabilities and an understanding of diverse eligibility needs—such as prosocial and self-regulatory skill development—is essential for success.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License
• Active K-12 Special Education Certificate (current and in good standing)
• Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Experience in self-contained behavioral or autism-focused classrooms strongly preferred
• Background supporting students who are at-risk, limited English proficient, ethnically diverse, or exceptional learners
• Demonstrated proficiency with special education documentation and implementation processes in alignment with federal, state, and district guidelines
• Willingness to complete Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training if not already held, or actively participate in designated staff development
• Commitment to onsite presence for the duration of the school year

Responsibilities:

• Deliver intensive instruction and support in a structured environment, fostering the development of prosocial behaviors and self-regulation skills
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, and family members to maximize student growth
• Maintain up-to-date special services records and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines
• Employ culturally responsive teaching practices to meet the unique needs of each learner
