About the role

The Sous Chef Tournant is a junior management position within the Culinary department, reporting to the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef. This role provides leadership across multiple culinary operations, ensuring consistent execution of food quality, service standards, and kitchen procedures. The Sous Chef Tournant supports team development, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

What you will do

• Support and oversee daily culinary operations across multiple kitchens and outlets as business needs require
• Lead, train, mentor, and develop cooks and junior Sous Chefs to ensure high levels of performance and career growth
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to Four Seasons standards, recipes, and specifications
• Maintain consistency in quality, taste, presentation, and portion control across all meal periods
• Assist with menu execution, food production planning, and operational organization
• Supervise food preparation and service while ensuring efficiency and attention to detail
• Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and culinary excellence
• Monitor food safety, sanitation, and health standards to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
• Support inventory management, food cost controls, and waste reduction initiatives
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to drive innovation, operational improvements, and employee engagement
• Actively participate in training and development programs to enhance culinary and leadership capabilities

What you bring

• College degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, or equivalent professional experience preferred
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive culinary experience in a hotel, resort, or fine dining environment
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a professional kitchen preferred
• Strong culinary fundamentals and advanced cooking techniques
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic culinary environment
• Passion for hospitality, mentorship, and continuous learning
