United States, North Carolina, Charlotte May 22, 2026 Director, Portfolio Management Requisition ID: 55067 Position Summary As Director, Portfolio Management you will drive P&L performance, develop strategy, lead cross‑functional teams, manage the product life‑cycle, generate demand, introduce new products, and position our products to solve critical customer packaging problems. The successful candidate will consistently meet or exceed revenue and margin targets while growing market share. Key Responsibilities P&L and Deal Management Evaluate commercial deals balancing margin, volume, customer commitment, and other terms. Maximize ASP by providing commercial teams with competitive price guidance and strong value propositions. Identify and recommend pricing actions to recover inflation, move with the market, or capture share for individual portfolios. Lead cost‑optimization initiatives and reinvestment tied to ROI. Advocate and shepherd business cases for investments to grow and improve cost position within individual portfolios. Drive advanced financial modeling to optimize resource allocation. Market, Strategy & Roadmap Conduct market and competitive research to inform priorities and develop deep understanding of market & competitive landscapes. Create winning strategies that exploit gaps and underserved areas and leverage Sealed Air advantages within the market and competitive spaces. Identify capability and expertise gaps and advocate for closing them. Create defined, measured growth priorities tied to AOP for individual portfolios. Define innovation roadmap for individual portfolios. Identify the end‑to‑end product lifecycle position for each product and develop unique strategies to maximize growth and minimize obsolescence. Customer Insights & Go to Market Activation Deep understanding of customer value drivers, unmet needs, and connection to product CTQs through voice of customer research for individual portfolio. Author compelling value propositions for individual portfolio and advocate for enhancements. Lead new product launch and promotional campaigns for individual portfolios, including collateral, training, and customer events. Partner with sales on customer/market development to drive strategic initiatives. Stakeholder Management & Governance Harness cross‑functional expertise to inform and execute strategy. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and external partners. Align, advise, and advocate strategic priorities and results across functions for portfolio group and individual portfolio. Facilitate internal decision making and problem solving to align with strategic interests and maximize value creation. Cultivate key customer and partner relationships to strengthen insights and capture new value in the marketplace. Identify and enhance processes/framework to create efficiencies. Core Capabilities and Skills Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Translate complex market data into actionable product strategies and quantify business impact. Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of mechanical systems, material science (film/paper), and process engineering. Commercial Savvy: Proven ability to set pricing, manage P&L responsibilities, and drive profitable growth. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Expert at rallying diverse teams toward shared objectives; skilled in stakeholder influence and negotiation. Customer‑Centric Mindset: Strong focus on voice of customer insights, customer satisfaction metrics, and designing solutions that solve real business problems. Project & Change Management: Disciplined in managing complex, multi‑phase projects with rigorous risk mitigation and milestone tracking. Communication & Presentation: Excellent written and verbal skills for white papers, executive briefings, and sales training. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or engineering; MBA strongly preferred. Experience 10+ years in B2B product management of packaging, industrial, and/or technical products within the distribution channel. Demonstrated track record managing integrated product portfolios including hardware, consumables, and service offerings. Other Requirements Ability to travel up to 40% for customer visits, trade shows, and partner workshops. Proficiency with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms. Salary & Benefits Salary Range: $116,300 – $200,675. Offers within this range will be determined by relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. Eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs.
