Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver mindfulness-based interventions, including MBSR, tailored to clients' unique stress reduction and mental health needs.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand each client’s challenges, stressors, and goals, allowing for personalized mindfulness practice recommendations.

• Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation practices, and breathing techniques that promote self-awareness and emotional regulation.

• Facilitate engaging group workshops on mindfulness practices, stress management, and resilience-building strategies, encouraging client participation and collaboration.

• Incorporate mindfulness techniques into individual therapy sessions to address a spectrum of mental health concerns, fostering personal growth and emotional stability.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including fellow therapists and healthcare providers, to integrate mindfulness practices into comprehensive treatment plans.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and treatment plans within our electronic health records system.

• Commit to personal mindfulness practice and ongoing professional development to excel in administering mindfulness-based interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population in Yonkers who are seeking to manage anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, and other mental health issues. Your expertise in mindfulness will be paramount in helping clients find balance and resilience in their daily lives, ultimately leading them toward improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York is essential.

• Strong foundational knowledge of mindfulness, with the ability to incorporate mindfulness techniques into therapeutic practices.
