About the Position

Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO) (Locum Tenens)

Location: Texas

Schedule: Day and night shifts; schedule varies

Position Overview

Emergency medicine coverage in a busy community emergency department. Providers should be comfortable managing a broad range of acute presentations and working within a shift-based coverage model.

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department evaluation and management
• Trauma support consistent with site capability
• Collaborative work with specialty services and APP coverage model

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license
• Board certified in Emergency Medicine, or board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with recent emergency medicine experience (per site requirements)
• Active DEA registered to Texas address (if required for clinical scope)
• Certifications required for non EM board certified physicians may include ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or trauma equivalent (per site)
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify
