Job Description:Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes the following roles, which will vary by facility need: patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning.Join our dynamic Cafe team where you'll have the opportunity to work across various stations, ensuring a delightful experience for our customers. Click here for more detailsJob EssentialsDeliver and present meal trays to patients following standard procedures.Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, including beverages, deli items, pizza items, and hot itemsUnderstand and prepare modified diets using appropriate techniques.Follow Nutrition Services and food safety standards (including HACCP) to ensure quality, safety, and a positive dining experienceMaintain proper food quantities, stock levels, and product rotationKeep work areas clean, organized, and sanitary, including cleaning surfaces, floors, and equipmentStock supplies and retrieve food or materials from storage areas as neededPerform accurate cash and credit transactions, balance cash drawers, and follow corporate proceduresProvide customer service by knowing menu items, portions, and prices, answering questions, and resolving basic issues independentlySet up and service catered functions according to the requested level of serviceMinimum QualificationsFood Handler's Permit (required)One year of cashier, food service or patient experience (preferred)Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred)Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
