Our Client in Marlboro, NJ , is seeking a on-site Full-Charge Bookkeeper for a Temp-to-Hire role!
Salary: $26-$35/hr. (DOE)
Hours: Mon - Thurs 6:30 AM - 5 PM (Regular hours after Labor Day)
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll – Report payroll to ADP, record payroll, distribute checks,
- 401K Contributions
- Daily Financial Recording - Record all financial transactions.
- Submit the monthly payroll for workers' compensation
- Annual workers compensation audit
- Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, credit-card monthly statements, vendor statements, and merchant accounts regularly
- Resolve billing discrepancies? Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Month-end close by reconciling accounts and reviewing entries
- Prepare financial documentation
- Post journal entries daily to the general ledger
- State Tax reports, reconciliations, submission, and payments to state (NJ, NY)
- Quarterly state sales tax filings and year-end reporting
- Make quarterly corporate estimated tax payments
- Benefits:

- Administration of the company health reimbursement account (HRA plan)
- Corporate filings
- Certification and renewal upkeep (Inspections, etc.)
- AP/AR:
- Process AR – Invoices entered and created using accounting software
- Pay supplier invoices on time
- Review purchase orders and bill of ladings to verify that all the required items were received before releasing checks for payment to vendors
- Create additional financial reports as needed (balance sheet, income statements, A/P & A/R aging reports)
- Reconcile invoices and purchase orders
- Discrepancies: Internal and vendor
- Maintain attendance records & PTO tracking
- Process employee expense reports & petty cash tracking
- Supply ordering for specific department needs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of paid full-charge bookkeeping or small business accounting experience
- A college degree in accounting is a plus
- Extensive experience using accounting software
- Experience in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger
- Proficient in Accounts Payable
- Must be organized and meticulous
