Work Environment\n

This remote telehealth position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while offering flexibility to manage your schedule effectively. The role is primarily Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate client needs. As a virtual team member, you'll leverage modern communication technologies and electronic health record (EHR) systems to optimize client interactions and maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, identifying their unique needs and challenges.

• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans that consider individual developmental stages, family dynamics, and cultural backgrounds.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, aimed at addressing a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care, attending case consultations and team meetings regularly.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for young clients experiencing mental health emergencies while maintaining professionalism and a calm demeanor.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their wellness journey.

• Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards through proper documentation and adherence to privacy regulations.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in training sessions, supervision, and reading current research on best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse population of children and adolescents grappling with various mental health challenges. These may include anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. By providing tailored therapeutic support, you will play an essential role in helping young individuals navigate their mental health journey in a compassionate and nonjudgmental manner.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and best practices in psychological treatment.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach to dealing with children and families.

• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients while demonstrating cultural competence.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of experience in a mental health counseling role is required, candidates with specialized training in child therapy approaches, such as play therapy or trauma-informed care, are highly preferred. Experience in teletherapy settings is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
