$30-38/hr depending on experience, potential to flex to $85k range

Boston - Hybrid, 2 days per week on-site and 3 days per week remote

Position Overview

We are seeking a n Accounta nt to support our client’s day-to-day financial operations. This role will be the sole accounting/finance person in-house, partnering with the outside resources currently handling these responsibilities. This person is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, grant accounting, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow within a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

*Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

*Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including accruals and adjustments

*Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules

*Support contract and funding-related reporting requirements

*Track and manage financial data across multiple funding sources

*Maintain documentation for financial transactions and expenditures

*Assist with audit preparation, including reconciliations and supporting documentation

*Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures

*Support budgeting and forecasting processes

*Partner with internal teams to review financial data and ensure proper allocation of expenses

*Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as needed

Qualifications

*Bachelor’s degree

*5+ years of progressive accounting experience

*2+ years of experience with federal and state grants management
