Staff Accountant

Vaco by Highspring has partnered with our client to hire a Staff Accountant to join their team for a 3–6-month contract. This role will begin onsite and will move to a hybrid work model. Responsibilities: Assist with closing activities at the end of each month, including creating journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing supporting documentation. Handle balance sheet and general administrative account reconciliations, record accruals, and investigate differences compared to projected figures. Reconcile credit cards. Review expenses to ensure they align with budget and forecast expectations. Facilitate month-end reviews and prepare finalized financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets. Contribute to the preparation of monthly reporting packages and presentations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Prior public accounting experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
