Nurse Practitioner | Surgery - Neurosurgery Location: Boston, MA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurosurgery to provide pediatric inpatient neurosurgical care in Boston, MA. The position offers a structured daytime schedule with 3 thirteen hour shifts per week for 2 weeks each month . There are no night shifts, no holidays & no call requirements . The NP will work alongside residents & the pediatric neurosurgery team, focusing entirely on patient care. APPs do not participate in the operating room. Job Responsibilities • Round with residents & review daily patient care plans • Evaluate pediatric neurosurgery patients • See patients requiring clinical evaluation • Review & enter patient orders • Manage inpatient clinical needs • Coordinate patient discharges • Monitor patient progress & treatment plans • Collaborate with residents, physicians & the multidisciplinary care team • Provide direct patient care in the inpatient neurosurgery setting • Remove Hemovac & JP drains when clinically appropriate Requirements • Nurse Practitioner with Neurosurgery specialization • Board Certified in Neurosurgery • Minimum 1 year of neurosurgery experience required • Active Massachusetts medical license required • Massachusetts licensing must be in hand • Epic EMR experience required • Pediatric inpatient neurosurgery experience preferred • Ability to manage pediatric neurosurgical patients independently • Ability to perform or assist with drain removal preferred Benefits • Predictable daytime schedule • No nights • No holidays • No call requirements • Part time coverage structure with 2 weeks of coverage per month • Opportunity to work alongside a pediatric neurosurgery resident team • Direct patient care focused role • No operating room responsibilities for APPs • Acute care hospital experience • Travel support may be available for eligible candidatesaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
