Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, including the severity, frequency, and duration of their experiences.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s specific objectives, incorporating evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Deliver therapeutic interventions via telehealth, ensuring effective communication and engagement with clients in a virtual environment.

• Educate clients and their families on the nuances of mood disorders, available treatment options, and practical self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Continuously monitor clients’ progress, making evidence-based adjustments to treatment plans to optimize their outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a holistic and cohesive approach to mental health care.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and confidentially, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance both your clinical skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients, working towards the de-stigmatization of mood disorders and promoting awareness of mental health needs in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily focus on individuals dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Working with a diverse clientele, you will encounter various backgrounds and experiences, requiring sensitivity and a tailored approach in your therapeutic methods.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with prescribing psychiatrists.

• Demonstrated ability to achieve successful treatment outcomes with clients facing mood disorders.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills to build rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 52,000 and 100,000 annually.
