Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will engage in a variety of impactful tasks that contribute to the well-being of our clients, including:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments through psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and thorough risk assessments.

• Collaborating with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific mental health goals, needs, and cultural aspects.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual, couple, family, and group settings, utilizing modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

• Offering crisis intervention services, emphasizing collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless continuity of care for clients in distress.

• Maintaining meticulous clinical documentation—including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries—in adherence to clinic policies and regulatory requirements.

• Delivering psychoeducational resources and training to clients and their families, empowering them to manage their mental health conditions effectively.

• Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers, to craft comprehensive care plans.

• Regularly assessing treatment outcomes and making evidence-based adjustments to enhance effectiveness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in mental health counseling is required. Experience with trauma-informed techniques and methodologies, as well as familiarity with telehealth practices, is highly valued.
