Job Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and their observational findings.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing improvement.
• Engage in collaborative care with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise holistic treatment approaches.
• Provide educational resources for patients and their families to promote effective progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless transition through the treatment process.
• Keep precise and timely records that align with state and federal regulations as well as organizational standards.
• Stay informed on industry advancements through ongoing education and interaction with peers.

Educational Background

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA certification.

Certifications and Licenses

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, along with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams.
