HR Coordinator

Overview LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of a nonprofit organization based in Chicago for a Human Resources Coordinator. Responsibilities Coordinate full-cycle onboarding, including preparing offer letters, initiating background checks, and managing all new hire documentation. Lead new hire orientations and conduct facility tours to introduce employees to the organization’s culture, policies, and key contacts. Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing support throughout their transition into the organization. Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Support recruitment efforts through interview scheduling, candidate communication, and coordination with hiring managers. Assist with benefits administration and respond to general employee inquiries regarding HR policies and programs. Prepare onboarding materials, welcome packets, and coordinate system and building access with IT and Facilities. Support employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and ongoing HR projects as assigned. Qualifications 1-3 years previous HR, onboarding, or administrative experience preferred; nonprofit experience a plus. Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
