LEGAL ASSISTANT - BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS

Responsibilities Draft, format, and proofread transactional documents and correspondence, including engagement letters Keep attorney calendars, schedule meetings and calls, and handle client-facing logistics Open new matters and organize client and matter files within the firm's document systems Run document assembly and e-signature processes using DocuSign and Adobe Sign Support billing through time entry and review of prebills and invoices Serve as the registered agent point of contact, logging and routing service of process as it comes in Keep corporate entity records current, including resolutions and minute book assembly Handle client questions on filing status, fees, and deadlines, keeping them updated proactively Coordinate with third-party vendors such as filing services and couriers Safeguard the retention, security, and retrieval of confidential corporate records Qualifications 2+ years supporting attorneys as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in a corporate or transactional practice preferred Prior hands-on experience with registered agent duties or corporate filings strongly preferred Comfortable with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, e-signature tools, and document management platforms Working knowledge of state filing portals and the basics of corporate formation and compliance Strong communicator with a client-service mindset and sharp attention to detail A steady, discretion-minded professional who handles confidential material with care Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
