Customer Service Representative - Health Plan Enrollment

Job Duties:

• Handle high-volume inbound calls regarding health plan enrollment and benefits.
• Assist members with plan selection, enrollment changes, and qualifying life events.
• Verify eligibility, coverage, and enrollment status.
• Explain plan benefits, premiums, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket costs.
• Research and resolve enrollment-related issues.
• Escalate complex inquiries when necessary.
• Document customer interactions accurately in company systems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and company standards.
• Meet productivity, quality, and customer service metrics.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of recent call center experience.
• Experience working in a metric-driven environment with KPIs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems while assisting customers.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare, health insurance, Medicare, or benefits-related call center experience.
• Experience handling grievances and service recovery situations.
• Experience managing 60-80 calls per day.
• Familiarity with Epic and/or Talkdesk.
• Knowledge of HMO plans and health insurance terminology.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
