Job Title: Technical Writer Adobe FrameMaker

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week)

Duration: 4-month contract (strong possibility of extension)

Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Technical Writer with strong Adobe FrameMaker expertise to join its Technical Publications team. This role is focused on creating, maintaining, and updating product documentation, technical manuals, and publication materials. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing documentation updates with minimal supervision, and collaborating with engineering and product teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, product manuals, and technical publications using Adobe FrameMaker.
• Manage revisions to existing documentation and support documentation for new products and features.
• Work from existing source materials to complete documentation updates independently.
• Ensure all documentation follows established writing, formatting, and publication quality standards.
• Perform editing, formatting, document production, and professional PDF publishing.
• Support short-turnaround documentation requests, including updates required within 48 hours.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and subject matter experts to gather and validate technical information.
• Manage documents within SharePoint and shared-drive environments.
• Track documentation progress, communicate status updates, and consistently meet project deadlines.
• Support stabilization and maintenance of recently migrated or updated publication content.
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and usability across all technical publications.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or Documentation Specialist.
• Strong hands-on experience with Adobe FrameMaker.
• Experience creating and maintaining complex technical documentation.
• Ability to independently interpret and update existing documentation with minimal guidance.
• Strong knowledge of technical writing, editing, formatting, and document production best practices.
• Experience producing professional-quality PDFs and published documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in SharePoint or other shared document management environments.
• Familiarity with Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Guides.
• Knowledge of structured authoring (XML/DITA).
• Experience supporting content migration projects.
• Familiarity with Jira.
• Background in engineering, software, manufacturing, telecommunications, or other technical industries.
• Experience working in Agile or Kanban environments.
