Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated full-time Physical Therapist to join our esteemed team at Moon Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center in Toms River, New Jersey. This role is integral to our mission of helping patients regain their mobility and enhance their functional capabilities. As a Physical Therapist, you will engage directly with patients, guiding them through their rehabilitation journey, and applying your expertise to maximize their quality of life.

Moon Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center is a leading outpatient facility specializing in orthopedic treatments. Our state-of-the-art 5,000-square-foot facility is equipped with the latest sports medicine technology and designed to facilitate an optimal healing environment. We focus primarily on patients with private medical insurance, which allows us to deliver personalized and comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. Our small but dedicated team consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), collectively committed to a patient-centered approach.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site in our Toms River facility. The center operates in a collaborative atmosphere where innovative treatment methods and patient engagement are prioritized. The working schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured environment conducive to both professional development and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions to formulate effective treatment plans based on each individual's needs.
• Manage a patient caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring thorough attention and care during each session.
• Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions that contribute to patient recovery and rehabilitation.
• Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home regimens to promote continued progress outside the clinic.
• Document all patient encounters accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software such as WebPT, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Monitor and assess patient progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
• Collaboratively work with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care initiatives and optimize outcomes.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle through strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination training tailored to individual patients.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment, helping them achieve their personal rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients, primarily those covered by private medical insurance. This demographic encompasses a variety of cases, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults seeking to enhance their mobility and independence. You will play an essential role in providing tailored treatment plans addressing the physical and emotional needs of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license, with no prior board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques, with the ability to effectively apply these methods in treatment.
• Exceptional skills in designing and executing customized exercise regimens for diverse patient needs.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, showcasing your familiarity with common conditions and treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient education on health and wellness, promoting self-management and adherence to treatment protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field.
